Hello, suasdey! My name is Matthew Trew, I am a researcher of Cambodian culture and history. I used to live in Battambang province for several years, and I am looking to meet the Khmer community in Ottawa. Sadly, I cannot attend the New Year party this weekend. Are there other upcoming events? I’d love to meet you and practice my very-rusty Khmer. 🙂

This event sounds like a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Khmer culture right here in Ottawa. The mix of traditional entertainment and modern dancing makes it appealing for all ages. It’s great to see the community coming together to honor our heritage. Will there be any special performances or workshops to learn more about Khmer traditions?
